Spit Sock Hood is the American Dream, it was developed by a husband and wife team to help with a problem that was presented to them. After several different designs and prototypes, they were able to find a product that solved their presented problem.

Spit Sock Hood was created and produced out of the back room of their home for the first few years— since then, it has expanded into a larger production. Stearns Wear prides itself on their friendly customer service, going above and beyond for customers, and on their fast turn-around time for orders. It continues to be a family-run business employing several family members, and they take pride of the fact that Spit Sock Hood is made in the United States.
